The Collingwood Youth Centre (“CYC”) celebratied our official Grand Opening on Tuesday November 21st from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Nearly 200 local youth, volunteers, stakeholders, funders, fellow non for profit leaders and educators were invited to gather at the CYC as the Board of Directors and staff officially begin the next chapter of the centre’s history.
Representatives from lead funders were present for the ribbon cutting including the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Southern Georgian Bay Rotary Club, Simcoe County and the Town of Collingwood. The CYC’s operational management team from the Social Innovation Factory (“SIF”) including Elephant Thought’s and the Environment Network were also be on site to celebrate and answer questions.
