Yes you can! The Collingwood Youth Centre is open for all youth, regardless of where you live.

I don't know anybody that goes to CYC. How can I make friends there?
The CYC is all about making new friends. Our staff will be happy to give you a tour and introduce you to people your age who are interested in the same things that you are.
Where can I voice my opinion?
If you ever have any suggestions or ideas for programs or on the CYC in general, talk to any of the staff and they will be sure to help you! We respect your opinions and we want to hear your ideas. Your energy and expertise help us to make our programs and services right for you!
Is CYC wheelchair accessible?
Yes! CYC is fully accessible.
How do I book the sound recording room?
The sound room is open for use outside of regular programming times. If it’s not it use – make some noise.
Who can I talk to for support?
If you need help with an issue, you can speak to any of our staff members. We’re here for you! We will also help you connect with other support organizations if necessary.
How can I volunteer at CYC?
Talk to any staff about volunteering at the centre or any off-site events we provide in the community.
To come to CYC, what age do I need to be?
Any youth between in grade 7 to age 18 are welcome at the CYC. If you are outside of this age group, come talk to us first.
Is there an extra cost for your programs?
All our regular programs are always FREE. Additional costs may be required to attend special outings or events.
How many staff are working each day?
In every room that is open within the centre, there is a staff member supervising at all times. We also have security cameras inside and outside the building.
Can I stay with my child in the centre?
Anyone over the age of 18 in the building requires a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.
What if the youth leave CYC to go to somewhere?
CYC staff members supervise the youth at all times while the youth are on our property. However, we cannot prevent or restrict them from leaving the centre.
What is the CYC policy on bullying?
At CYC, we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying in any form. Any youth who participates in bullying will be asked to leave the centre, and may also be suspended from the facility.
